STRESS ENGINEER REPAIRS

Stress Engineer – Repairs

Reference Code : 10112937 UE EN EXT 1
Work Contract Type : Permanent contract
Work Experience : Mid-career (5+ to 10 years of experience)

Tasks
The successful applicant will be expected to:
- Work with the Lead Engineer in order to ensure that methods,
assumptions, data and procedures reflect on-going developments;
- Carry out static stressing calculations to assess design solutions
using standard hand and computer methods;
- Interrogate drawing systems, raising and co-ordination of
documentation;
- Support on-going local improvement initiatives to increase team
efficiency through methods and process improvements;
- Provide a platform for the continued and future development of the
Repair Stress Team;
- Identify areas where technical processes and procedures are
lacking and develop new methods and tools for improvement.
Your skills
As the successful applicant, you will have:
- HNC/HND/Degree qualification (or equivalent) and a good
understanding of working in an engineering environment;
- Static analysis of aircraft structures using a broad range of standard
hand and computer methods;
- An understanding of the fundamental method of analysis for static
stressing and an ability to develop these methods;
- Be conversant with the technical requirements for designing
repairs;
- Ability to lead small teams when required to support major incidents
and larger repair tasks. This includes technical and personal
management support;
- The ability to translate customer requirements into operational
deliverables and prioritize;
- PC skills and a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and
PowerPoint;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills;
- English: Negotiation level.
